Video: Pirates invade Dewsbury Market
Shoppers could have been forgiven for thinking they had stumbled onto the set of an adventure film when pirates descended upon Dewsbury Market.
Captain Jack Sparrow greeted visitors and posed for pictures with parents and children alike, while the Pirates of Menspants sailed through the crowds in a bright red galleon.
Over in Market Corner, children took part in free craft activities and had their faces painted to become part of the pirate crew.
Families were also treated to live music and free performances of The Tale of Pirate Grimbeard by The Eccentric Gents.
