BME housing association Unity Homes and Enterprise, which owns and manages affordable homes in Kirklees, has marked another year of achievement with powerful speeches from the Chair and Chief Executive at its Annual General Meeting.

The north’s most prolific and longest standing social investor, Key Fund, has secured £8.45m for the Northern Impact Fund 2, having recently finalised the last piece of funding from the Mercers’ Charitable Foundation (to which the Mercers’ Company is sole trustee).

As the envelopes are torn open and the results revealed, a mix of anticipation, excitement, and perhaps a touch of nervousness fills the air today.
