This year, several venues around Dewsbury, Batley and Spen have organised events, including Cleckheaton Sports Club, Liversedge Cricket Club, Moorlands Cricket Club, Scholes Cricket Club, East Bierley Cricket Club, The OC (Old Colonial) Freehouse in Mirfield and West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service at its Birkenshaw headquarters.
Batley Bulldogs will also host an event at its Mount Pleasant base, and the annual Mirfield and District Round Table Bonfire will return to Mirfield Showground.
To mark the occasion, we’ve had a look into the Reporter Series archive for pictures of families enjoying some of the biggest organised events in the area.
Here is a selection of photos from the Mirfield and District Round Table Bonfire over the years.
