Young Sinfield signs for Bulldogs as two others extend Mount Pleasant stay
Batley Bulldogs have announced another signing for 2027 whilst two others have agreed to extend their stay at Mount Pleasant.
Dom Sinfield, an exciting young centre, has joined the club from Super League champions Wakefield Trinity where he progressed through the academy.

Josh Woods and Robson Stevens have also put pen to paper on deals for next season.
The experienced Woods joined Batley in 2023 and has become key to the side’s attacking output in the halves having made 95 appearances in which he has scored seven tries, 141 goals, and nine drop goals.
Head coach James Ford told the club’s social media accounts: “We are all delighted to retain Josh. He’s a very intelligent and talented rugby player.
“He has had a really positive influence on our attacking shape and was also central to Mitch’s development.
“Josh was challenged about a couple areas within his game and he responded superbly. He is aware that he will be challenged again and I am positive he will respond in the right way and showcase the player he can be.”
Stevens joined from Featherstone Rovers for the 2026 campaign and scored five tries in 28 appearances during an impressive debut season. His re-signing was helped by BISSA, the club’s independent fans’ squadbuilder association.
Ford added: “Robson had a fantastic first season at Batley, often playing 70 to 80 minutes in our middle. He quickly emerged as a leader within our group and I am confident that his status will grow again in 2027.
“He’s still a very young man for a middle and we are all excited to see how far he can develop.
“I would like to thank Dave Peat, BISSA, who do a fantastic job in raising funds for strengthening our squad and the board for enabling us to get this deal completed.”
