“I want our community to have more understanding and knowledge of the history of what our people sacrificed for others.

“Please join me in a few hours of thought provoking and respectful exhibit.”

Richard, who was the caretaker at Northorpe Hall and Family Trust in Mirfield for ten years before retiring in 2024, previously showcased his collection - which included war medals from an Auschwitz survivor and a whip used against those suffering in the concentration camps, as well as heavy guns which soldiers had to carry for long distances - at his former workplace last May to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day.

Entry to see Richard’s presentation and exhibition at the Rising Sun this Sunday is priced at £3.
