We will remember: Services of Remembrance this weekend

Sunday, November 8, is the closest to Armistice Day, November 11, and will be a time to pay our respects to those who served for their country and paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Sunday’s services :

lBatley, the procession will assemble at Batley Market Place at 10.15am for march off at 10.35am to Batley War Memorial Gardens for service at 10.55am.

lBirstall - assemble 1.45pm at Carr Street/Market Street corner to set off at 2pm for service at St Peter’s Church at 2.20pm where wreaths will be laid at war memorial at approximately 3pm.

lDewsbury - meet at Dewsbury Town Hall at 10am setting off at 10.10am to Dewsbury Minster for service at 10.30am. Re-form at 11.45am and parade to Crow Nest Park for service and wreath laying at the War Memorial at 12.45 pm.

lEast Bierley and Birkenshaw - a short dedication of Birkenshaw War Memorial in St Paul’s Church at 9.30am. The parade musters in front of the Community Hall setting off at 10.10 am through Birkenshaw,

lHeckmondwike - meet at 11.45 am around the War Memorial in Green Park, for a service at noon.

lMirfield - meet at 1.30pm in Lowlands Road set off at 2pm pm for Service and wreath laying at War Memorial in Ings Grove Park.

lSpenborough - meet at town hall at 2.15pm. Parade to set off at 2.30pm to Memorial Park to lay wreaths. Parade to St John’s, service at 3pm.
