Police appeal following motor home theft

Two e-fit images have been released by police who want to trace two men in connection with the theft of a motor caravan in Huddersfield.

Police want to speak to anyone who recognise the men following the offence, which took place between 7am and 8am on Friday January 10.

The incident took place at a dealers on the junction of Huddersfield Road and Bradford Road in Birstall.

Two men broke into the dealers and stole equipment from inside and a VW California T5 motor caravan, which was inside the workshop.

They fled the area in their own vehicle, believed to be a transit van, and headed towards Birkenshaw.

Both of the men are described as white, 20-30-years-old, skinny and spoke with strong Irish accents.

PC Nigel Milner of Huddersfield Police, said: “We are investigating this offence and would like to speak to anyone who recognises the two men pictured in these E fits or who may have been offered a VW California motor caravan for sale under suspicious circumstances recently.

“Anyone who has information about the offence or who recognises the two men should contact PC 4411 Nigel Milner at Huddersfield Police on 101 or CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
