Police appeal: Can you help trace bank burglary getaway vehicle?

Burglars forced their way into a bank and stole thousands of pounds in Wyke before fleeing.

Police are appealing for information about the getaway vehicle, believed to be an Audi estate.

The incident occurred about 4.20am on Thursday at the branch of Barclays in Town Gate.

Three men were seen to get out of the vehicle and tamper with a cash point.

The culprits then forced their way into the bank and broke into the machine, stealing a significant amount of cash.

The vehicle, which is believed to have then been driven towards Brighouse, is thought to have been in the area for a number of hours before the incident.

It had a registration plate reading GD14 HDO – but police believe this to be false.

It also had two roof bars at either side and distinctive alloy wheels.

Det Insp Ryan Bragg, of Bradford District CID, said: “Enquiries are at an early stage, but we believe this vehicle was seen in the area in the time leading up to the burglary and would appeal for anyone who saw it to contact DC 5013 Jones at Bradford District CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
