North Kirklees snow disruption, school closures and travel: Tuesday January 22

SOME schools in North Kirklees have closed for a second day due to snow.

Others are opening late or only for those sitting exams.

BBEC is opened to year 10 and 11 pupils sitting the Science Exam, and all year 10 and 11 pupils only from 11.30am.

Warwick Road Junior, Infant and Nursery, and Wellhouse Junior and Infant schools opened at 10am.

Chickenley Community and Hyrstmount Junior schools will openede from 10.30am.

Pentland Infant and Nursery will opend at 10.30am, but morning nursery was closed.

Kirklees College is closed all day.

Meanwhile, some bus services in our district are not running or not serving their normal routes.

126/127 is not serving Chickenley.

128/129 is not serving Grange Moor or Whitley.

181 is terminating at Slaithwaite.

205 is not serving Moorlands Estate.

209 is not serving Spring Avenue.

212 is not serving Broomsdale Road and Solway Road.

220 is not serving Magpie Lane and Wanyard Drive.

221 is not serving Brighton Street and Dale Lane estate.

222 is not serving Firthcliffe Estate.

229 is not serving Hartshead/Birstall Market.

254 is not serving Windy Bank Estate.

281 is running on main roads only, Howden Clough and Fieldhead.

282 is running on main roads only, and not serving Manor Way or Howden Clough.
