Huddersfield Giants players share skills with Thornhill Trojans

A rugby league skills camp kicked off in Thornhill for the first time this week.

Huddersfield Giants captain Danny Brough, who started his sporting career in the village, and vice captain Luke Robinson gave skills lessons to around 60 seven to 11-year-olds at Thornhill Trojans’ base in Overthorpe Park.

Mr Brough said: “It was really pleasing for me to see so many kids from Thornhill playing rugby.”

The players are planning to run more sessions, including ones for 11-15 year-olds, in the summer.
