Leeds Party in the Park and Opera in the Park tickets on sale

Temple Newsam will echo to the sounds of pop and classical music this summer when it hosts Party in the Park and Opera in the Park.

Tickets for the popular outdoor shows in Leeds went on sale this morning (Wednesday).

Opera in the Park will take place on Saturday July 27 and Party in the Park will take place the following day.

The line-up for the two events is yet to be revealed, but the likes of One Direction, Dizzee Rascal, The Saturdays, JLS, Katherine Jenkins and Lesley Garrett have appeared in previous years.

There will be a charge for tickets to Party in the Park for the first time this year, bringing it in line with Opera in the Park.

Tickets for either event cost £5 for Breezecard holders, £6.50 for LEEDSCard Extra holders, £8 for those with Leeds Active, LibraryCard and standard LEEDSCards and £10 for anyone else.

Discounted tickets for groups of friends/family members are available at £7 each for bookings of between five and 10 people.

Children aged four and under can go for free, but need a separate ticket.

You can also buy tickets in person at the city centre box office at The Carriageworks or from Leeds Visitor Centre at the train station.
