Liversedge home in on first game back in NPL East after promotion
Promoted Liversedge FC will start life back in the NPL East with a home game when they return to competitive action.
Danny Forrest’s men earned promotion from the NCE League with an impressive campaign that saw them come up as champions and they will look to re-establish themselves as a force in the Northern Premier League in the season ahead.
The first step towards that comes with a home game against Bridlington Town on Tuesday, August 11.
They will then play their first away match at Grimsby Borough four days later and travel to play Beverley Town the following Tuesday.
Further fixtures in August see Sedge have successive home games in the league against Silsden (22nd) and Guisborough Town (25th) and a trip across West Yorkshire to Pontefract Collieries on Bank Holiday Monday.
Festive fixtures see the team away to Ossett United on Boxing Day and at home to Pontefract Collieries the following Saturday.
The regular season campaign ends on April 17 with an away game at Garforth Town.
Liversedge’s season opens with an FA Cup match as they entertain Penistone Church in an extra preliminary round tie on Saturday, August 8.
They are also at home in the FA Trophy when playing Bootle in a first qualifying round game on Saturday, August 29.
