Waving the flag for the town centre

I WOULD like to say a big thank you to the following retailers, businesses and organisations for donating money, goods and time for the Diamond Jubilee tea party on Saturday June 2.

Dewsbury Rotary Club, Dewsbury Sports Centre, Boots, Blossom and Berries, Card Factory, Sainsburys, Strange Tales, Appana Tasty Bites, Poundworld, Wilkinsons, Subway and Dewsbury Town Team.

We collected a varity of goods from retailers as well as cash donations from Appna Tasty Bites and Dewsbury Rotary Club.

During the event about 150 goody bags were given out, four adult goody bags, a large amount of sweets, teddy bears, over 500 sandwiches litres and litres of pop, tea and coffee and two bottles of wine.

The Cappuccino Man also put on another tea party with the help of Quality Save.

Well done to all involved, you managed to create a wonderful community atmosphere within market place.
