Charity bash a big success

A charity gig at Heckmondwike Comrade Club raised £1353 for brain tumour research.
Organiser Lorraine Scott lost her husband, Dave, to the illness and said the amount of money that went to research paled in comparison to other forms of cancer.
Local musician Jade Helliwell arranged the lineup for the gig, and a raffle and auction helped to make up the rest.
The auction offerings included a signed photo Gordon Banks saving a Pele shot, signed Frank Bruno gloves and a signed photo of Ryan Giggs.
