Prime Time Plumbing: People-person Usman flying the flag for Batley and West Yorkshire
A Batley based plumbing business has been recognised again at some prestigious national awards.
Prime Time Plumbing has been named as a finalist in four categories at the UK Small Business Awards.

The recognition continues what has already been a successful year for the firm - which is run and owned by Usman Aswat - having been named as the winner of the SME Business of the Year at the British Muslim Awards 2026, whilst it was also announced as a principal partner of Bradford City AFC after a nationwide competition.
With the continued success, Usman, 33, is determined to showcase “the good side” of Batley, as well as to help other people in need.
“It has been a very, very good year for us already and hopefully we are going to get bigger and better,” he said.
“Batley is a small town compared to other places, and we don’t often see the good side of Batley but there are some really good people who like to help others.
“We have got some really good people here. I like to think I represent Batley and West Yorkshire. Every day is a challenge, no day is the same. Some days are easier than others. Some days you have bad days.
“Every job and every household is different. We look at life and we should be thankful as there are times where I have been to households and you don’t see carpets or beds. We’re in a scary time where people are struggling and going through hard times.
“The world is crazy but some people don’t see this part of it and don’t see how people are living. We should feel fortunate and we should be helping them.”
The friendly people-person added: “I like to go above and beyond and will always follow up with people after the job. It only takes a minute to make a phone call to check up and see how someone is doing and making sure it is all okay.”
