and live on Freeview channel 276
Maymah Makda, 21, who uses strength-training to help improve mental health, will feature on PureGym’s social channels and website over the coming weeks.
Maymah was chosen to star in the campaign as, after previously struggling with anxiety and depression, she has used weight-training to manage her mental health and also improve her strength.

With gyms now reopened and PureGym’s TrainSafe policies in place, the campaign video shows Maymah back at the gym and providing encouragement to those who may be worried about joining the gym themselves.
Maymah, who also documents her progress on Instagram, said: “Although I managed to make do with what I had for home workouts over lockdown, it was hard to have the same level of focus and commitment as I would in the gym. My whole routine fell apart and I found myself getting into a routine of watching more TV, eating less healthily, sleeping and waking up late, which left me feeling drained.
“Since being back in the gym I feel a lot happier and content with life. I’ve noticed my mood throughout the day is so much better. It has made me realise just how important the gym is to me.”
