No Bleak Expectations for Dewsbury Arts Group’s upcoming fast-paced caper!
Audiences should not be having Bleak Expectations for Dewsbury Arts Group’s season-opening performance.
Bleak Expectations, by Mark Evans, tells the story of half-orphan Pip and his companions as they face dastardly villains and perilous adventures in this chaotic Dickensian spoof.
A spokesperson for the theatre group said: “It is a fast-paced caper packed with gin, melodrama and laughter!”
Performances will take place at Dewsbury Arts Group’s David and Judith Wood Theatre on Lower Peel Street, on the evenings of September 26 and 29, and then through to October 3, with a matinee on September 27.
