Leeds Festival line up announced

THE first acts to perform at this year’s Leeds Festival have been announced.

On Friday, Muse take the headline spot. The band is often hailed as one of the best live acts in the world and the appearances at Leeds and Reading are the only chance fans will get to see their favourite band live this year.

Other bands appearing on Friday include Elbow, Interpol, Friendly Fires and Enter Shikari.

On Saturday, the headline act is My Chemical Romance, in their only festival appearance of 2011.

Other acts include Hollywood star Jared Leto’s band Thirty Seconds to Mars, The Offspring, and Deftones.

On Sunday, Britpop pioneers Pulp grace the stage after an eight year break since their last live performance.

Jarvis and co will share the headline slot with New York rockers The Strokes.

Other acts include The National, Madness and Jimmy Eat World.

The festival takes place at Bramham Park from Friday August 26 to Sunday August 28. Weekend tickets are £192.50 plus booking fees including camping. Day tickets are £82.50 plus booking fee. Early entry permits £15.
