"It all went smoothly and was very well organised.
"I feel privileged to be one of the first to have the vaccine and although we have stayed safe at home, I am hopeful that this is the start of the whole world bouncing back from this awful year.”
Staff and residents at other Ideal Carehomes across the country are also receiving the jab and the roll-out is expected to be completed over the next few weeks.
Ashworth Grange Home Manager, Paul Rowson, said: “This year has been a real challenge for everyone but we have always had faith that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and the availability of a vaccine has been our continued hope that we will return to normal.
