Multi-car smash causes delays on M62

Police are currently dealing with the smash, which happened at around 2.40pm today on the eastbound carriageway of the M62 at Junction 25, the exit for Brighouse and Dewsbury.

Fire units from Brighouse, Cleckheaton and Elland attended the scene. There were four casualties – two were taken to hospital for minor injuries.

The Air Ambulance is attending and the motorway is expected to be blocked in both directions for some time.

Motorists are warned to expect delays and are asked to take alternative routes where possible.
