Kath Pinnock gets House of Lords seat
Cleckheaton councillor Kath Pinnock has been elevated to the House of Lords.
The former leader of Kirklees Council, who lives in Peaseland Close will take her seat alongside such luminaries as Alan Sugar and Michael Hesseltine in the UK’s highest level of government.
She is one of six new Liberal Democrat peers announced today by party leader Nick Clegg.
