Joel aboard HMS Victory
A former Whitcliffe Mount School pupil was selected with only 93 others to sit aboard the HMS Victory to celebrate Trafalgar Night (October 27).
Joel Rouse, originally from Birstall but whose dad, Neil, and grandma, Enid, live in Liversedge is a Leading Airman (photographer) in the Royal Navy, but is currently serving with the Plymouth-based 42 Commando Royal Marines.
More junior personnel are rarely invited, but a mixed rank dinner was held on board for the first time this year.
