Drugs worth £15,000 discovered

Drugs worth £15,000 were discovered in a Chickenley home, a court heard.

David Haigh, 30, admitted possessing 1.5kg of amphetamine powder and three pills of the class C drug at Leeds Crown Court last Friday.
The pills were discovered beneath a chest of drawers after officers executed a search warrant at an address in Pildacre Lane on May 5 last year.

The court heard Mr Haigh intended to use the profits from selling the drug to pay off a £1,000 debt. He was given a 12 month community order with 250 hours unpaid work for possessing the drugs with intent to supply.
