Police appeal as ‘masked men’ break into Heckmondwike home
Police are appealing for witnesses after two masked men reportedly broke into a home in Heckmondwike.
Kirklees District CID would like to speak to anyone who saw, or has information, about the robbery, which took place at an address on Leeds Old Road between 10pm and 11pm last night (Sunday, July 26).

Officers were called to the location at about 10.30pm by someone hearing a loud bang outside the scene.
On attending the house, officers found a man in his 20s who had been the victim of a robbery.
He said two masked men had made their way inside his house, and threatened him with a bladed weapon while demanding property.
They then made off, leaving him with non-life threatening injuries.
Following searches officers later located what is believed to be a cartridge from a blank firing weapon outside the address.
DI Cath Shackleton of Kirklees CID, said: “A number of active enquiries are ongoing today to investigate this offence and determine the full circumstances of what took place.
“A cartridge from a suspected blank firing weapon was found in the street and we believe such a weapon was discharged outside.
“Anyone who saw two men in black balaclavas either arriving at or fleeing the address or has any information or footage which could assist the investigation is asked to get in touch.”
