Breaking news: Leeds Festival revellers could face travel problems

A STRIKE by train drivers threatens to disrupt people travelling to Leeds festival and Manchester airport this week.

Members of train drivers’ unions RMT and ASLEF are walking out on Wednesday and Friday in a row over pay.

The strike will affect the line between Manchester Piccadilly and York, which calls at Huddersfield, Dewsbury and Leeds.

The line between Manchester stations and Manchester airport will also be affected.

Train operator First TransPennine is planning a limited timetable.
