A very reusable day
Brazilian percussionist Claudio Kron hosted the Big Gig event at the park, in Heckmondwike Road, on Saturday.
Visitors made creatures out of paper mache and usable waste such as milk cartons, yogurt pots and plastic containers.

Mr Kron, who lives in Dewsbury, said: “The day was fantastic, especially with the sunshine.
“The children really enjoyed themselves, it was absolutely brilliant and it was good to see people from all different backgrounds working together.”
The creature creation was made in the shape of a bull, although there was not quite enough time to complete it.
The unfinished model can now be seen at the park.

Mr Kron said: “All of the items we used could end up in a landfill anywhere around the world and it is very harmful to our eco system.
“We need to look after our mother nature and make the world a better place.”
