Reclaim The Night walk event taking place in Dewsbury to raise awareness of domestic abuse
A Reclaim The Night event is set to take place in Dewsbury this weekend to help raise awareness of domestic abuse.
The community-led walk, which has been organised by a local group of women with lived experience of domestic abuse, will start from Dewsbury Town Hall on Sunday, November 30.

The event marks the 16 Days of Action campaign and aims to raise awareness of domestic abuse, highlight the support available, and stand in solidarity with survivors.
A spokesperson for the event said: “The organisers hope the walk will encourage open conversation, bring the community together, and shine a light on the ongoing need for safety, resources, and understanding for those affected.
“We will have the police in attendance, as well as a few local sports teams, alongside PDAP (Pennine Domestic Abuse Partnership) and RASAC (Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre) and women’s centre.”
The Reclaim The Night walk takes place at 4pm, on Sunday, November 30, starting from Dewsbury Town Hall.
