Kirklees Model Boat Club prepares to hold annual summer open day in Batley
The Kirklees Model Boat Club will be holding its annual summer open day in Batley next month.
The open day, which will take place at Wilton Park, on Bradford Road, from 9.30am to 3.30pm, welcomes visitors to sail their own model boats, alongside those belonging to members, on the club’s lake.
Steam powered models will need an up to date certificate and IC or high performance fast electric boats can be accommodated.
There will also be static model boat and military vehicle displays, trade stands to browse, a raffle in support of the RNLI, as well as refreshments. There will be free on site car parking.
