Dewsbury Rams’ squad for 2027 taking shape as young Huddersfield Giants star permanently joins
Dewsbury Rams’ squad for 2027 is starting to take shape - and includes the permanent signing of a young Huddersfield Giants star.
Paul March has secured the signing of Monty Lumb, who was on loan from the Super League side in 2026, and joins Jacob Bateman, Bailey O’Connor, Danny Addy and Jacob Parkinson in forming next season’s squad at FLAIR Stadium.

Lumb made an instant impact in his loan spell, scoring two tries in his second game against Halifax Panthers in a man of the match performance, before going onto make 13 appearances.
Lumb told the Rams’ website: “Buzzing to be permanently at the club, and I’m looking forward to the coming season with the boys.”

The squad has also been bolstered by the re-signings of Brad Graham and Tom Delaney.
Graham has signed a two-year deal to stay with the Rams until the end of the 2028 season. He returned to Dewsbury this year from Halifax having represented the Rams between 2022 and 2024.
“It was great to be back with the Rams this season,” Graham told the Rams’ website. “I really enjoyed my three years here last time, and it was the same again this season so it only felt natural to stay here.”
March added: “Really pleased with the re-signing of Brad. He’s a player who could play at a higher level but chooses to stay with us. He’s Mr Consistent and can cover a number of positions which makes him one of first names on the team sheet. I’m looking forward to working with him again for the next two years.”
Fans’ player of the year, Delaney, has signed on for the 2027 season with the Rams having scored 29 tries in his stint at the club - with 20 of those coming in 2026.
Delaney said: “I’m thrilled to have signed on for another year here. This last season I have really enjoyed my rugby, and I’m grateful to be surrounded by such a great set of lads,
“I feel like I have set myself a standard now over this last season, and I’m ready to push myself even further and help the team in any way I can.”
March said: “He’s one of our stand out players this year. He’s developing into a great player, he works hard in every session while also going and doing extra. It’s no fluke he scores tries like he has and I’m happy he’s signed on for the next year.”
