Huge flames and exploding tyres as wagons catch fire in Wakefield
The incident, involving two large good vehicles and four trailers, happened at Rawsons on Portobello Road at 11.47pm last night (Sunday).
Two crews from Wakefield and firefighters from Ossett and Normanton stations attended the incident which spanned 25 metres by 50 metres. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used four large jets and three ground monitors and successfully managed to stop the fire from spreading inside an adjacent building. However some damage was done to the building exterior.

Hide AdWakefield watch commander David Burland said there were huge flames and exploding tyres.
Crews managed to get the fire under control by 2am.
Nobody was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
