Pensioner cut from car after Batley crash

Firefighters from Dewsbury were called to Leeds Road at around 6.30pm.

The woman, thought to be in her late 60s to early 70s, was trapped and had back and neck pain.

As a precaution, firefighters cut the roof from the car to free her and she was taken to Pinderfields Hospital.

Others involved were not thought to be injured and were checked over by paramedics at the scene.

Crews cleared the scene by around 7.30pm.
