Gas leak to close two lanes at Tingley roundabout
Two of four lanes will be closed in the first stages of the work, which will start on Sunday and last for around a week.

Hide AdA Northern Gas Networks spokeswoman said: “We’ve worked closely with Leeds City Council to carefully plan this essential work during the school holidays, in order to minimise disruption to road users.
“So our engineers can complete the work as safely and as quickly as possible, some traffic management measures will be necessary, and we will be using on-site signage to advise motorists of this.
“Two of the four lanes at the roundabout will be temporarily closed at first, but drivers will then be able to use three lanes after initial works are completed.

Work to fix the leak will be carried out while a £70,000 project at Hesketh Lane, Tingley, is also underway.
Northern Gas Networks is replacing around 1km of metal gas mains with more durable plastic pipes there until around September 2.

Hide AdThe road will be closed from the junction of Dewsbury Road from Monday until August 22.
