CCTV appeal after picnic benches stolen from Liversedge pub

Officers from Batley and Spen neighbourhood polciing team have released this CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

It happened at around 4.30pm at the Cross Keys pub, on Halifax Road, Liversdge on July 30.

Thieves stole two benches and fled in a silver coloured Ford Transit van, which police believed to have been displaying a registration plate similar to RK53 YPN.

PC Chris Birkenshaw, of Batley and Spen NPT, said: “Tables such as this can be expensive items for a public house and I would appeal to anyone who recognises this man or vehicle to come forward.

“Enquiries are ongoing into this incident and anyone who has information should contact myself on 101 or CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
