Pub Hop returns to celebrate Mirfield's hospitality businesses while raising vital funds for The Kirkwood
People from across Kirklees are being invited to put on their walking shoes, gather their friends and raise a glass for a good cause as The Kirkwood Pub Hop returns.
Following the success of the inaugural event, organisers are hoping to double the number of participants for a fun-filled day that celebrates Mirfield's hospitality businesses while raising vital funds for The Kirkwood.
On Saturday, September 12, participants will enjoy a route of just over six miles, visiting six popular venues across Mirfield. Along the way, they will have the opportunity to enjoy refreshments and collect stamps at each stop, all while supporting local people living with life-limiting illnesses.
The six venues taking part this year are Navigation Tavern, The Pear Tree, The Flowerpot, Arthur's Café, Knowl Club and The OC (formerly Old Colonial).

A spokesperson for the organisers said: “Each venue has its own unique character, making the Pub Hop an opportunity not only to support The Kirkwood but also to discover some of Mirfield's best loved pubs and hospitality venues.
“Whether you're a real ale enthusiast, enjoy discovering new venues or simply want to spend a day with friends while making a difference, The Kirkwood Pub Hop promises to be a memorable day filled with community spirit, great hospitality and plenty of fundraising along the way.
“Every participant will be helping The Kirkwood continue providing specialist care and support to local people living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as supporting the families and loved ones who rely on the charity every day.”
For the £25 entry fee, participants will receive an exclusive Pub Hop t-shirt and a limited edition branded glass.
Anya Friis, head of fundraising at The Kirkwood, said: “After such a fantastic first year, we're thrilled to be bringing The Kirkwood Pub Hop back for 2026. We're hoping to double our numbers and make this year's event bigger and better.
“Events like this are only possible because of the incredible support we receive from our local community. By taking part, participants aren't just enjoying a great day out, they're helping us continue providing vital care and support to local people when they need it most.
“We hope to see as many people as possible raising a glass and raising funds for The Kirkwood this September.”
