Huddersfield Giants register record opening day season ticket sales ahead of move to Dewsbury Rams' FLAIR Stadium in 2027
Huddersfield Giants rugby league club has recorded the strongest opening day of season ticket sales in its history ahead of the club’s move to Dewsbury’s FLAIR Stadium in 2027.
In August, the Giants announced the plan to move to Dewsbury Rams’ ground for next season, while the club continues to search for a permanent home within Huddersfield.
Following the green light from the RFL, the Giants broke ground on the redevelopment of the Dewsbury ground, which will see it spend more than £10million upgrading the stadium, eventually increasing capacity to approximately 8,000 by the end of 2028.

Eager Giants’ fans queued outside the Accu Stadium when sales opened on Monday, September 14. The club is now advising fans who have not yet secured their season cards to act quickly to avoid missing out, with 70 per cent already sold.
Richard Thewlis, managing director of the Huddersfield Giants, said: “The support we’ve seen already means a huge amount to everyone at the club.
“There’s real excitement about our first season at the FLAIR Stadium, and we expect that momentum to build as the 2027 season approaches.
“With such high demand straight out of the gate, we are urging anyone who would like to join us for this next chapter to secure their season cards as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
“The way that our supporters have rallied behind the move has made us even more excited for our ‘One Giant Future’ ahead.
“Huddersfield is our home. But for 2027, Dewsbury is our stage and we can’t wait to get out there and make it a season to remember.”
Work on the upgrades at the FLAIR Stadium is already underway, with the main contractor targeting completion of the Main Stand, including its Sky and media facilities, by the end of January.
The focus will then move to the development of a new stand at the stadium's open end.
