West Yorkshire is one of the main heartlands of rugby league and if you're from Dewsbury, you will, more than likely, support Dewsbury Rams who play at the FLAIR Stadium on Owl Lane. 10. Educating Yorkshire
A TV show which put Dewsbury on the map. Educating Yorkshire - which followed the exploits of staff and pupils at Thornhill Community Academy - hit our screens on Channel 4 in September 2013 and it was simply a must-watch.
