Dewsbury Arts Group set to open new season by staging comedy play by 'Rising Damp' writer Eric Chappell

The play, written by Eric Chappell, who is known for creating many popular TV sitcoms including “Rising Damp”, is described by director Sue Saville as “very funny and witty”.
It features a cast of six including many familiar faces from the group: Maria Bailey, Mark Bailey, Rachel Wood, Iain Winstanley, Lindsey Clough and Gloria Appleton.

Performances take place at the David and Judith Wood Theatre, Lower Peel Street, Dewsbury, from Saturday, September 28 until Saturday, October 5. There is a matinee on Sunday, September 29 at 2.30pm and no performance on Monday, September 30.
