Leeds Festival goers have been promised the most expensive stage show in the history of the event when heavy metal giants Metallica play the final show of the weekend coming up.
The event starts on Friday at Bramham Park and sees The Libertines and Mumford and Sons headline the main stage on the first two days before Metallica have the honour of closing the festival on Sunday night.
The San Francisco four-piece have told fans their show will be worth waiting for as fans can expect “an unmissable and unforgettable” show.
A source close to the band said: “Metallica is planning an incredible show for Leeds.
“We will be using every inch of the stage, a massive LED lighting rig and will have screens everywhere and huge pyrotechnics.
“It is our biggest festival production and the most expensive in the history of Reading and Leeds.
“Everyone is working flat out to make this happen.”
Also playing on Sunday on a main stage bill full of rock talent are Sheffield’s Bring Me The Horizon as well as Royal Blood, Alexisonfire, Pierce The Veil, Modestep, Marmozets, Fidlar and Babymetal.
