It’s time to get your glad rags on and go back to an age of style as Heath Cottage Hotel opens its doors for a Murder Mystery evening – with a humorous twist.

The aptly-named Murder on the Disorient Express is set in the 1920s and takes place on Saturday, June 18, starting at 7pm.

The date is January 2, 1925. This is the roaring 20s, the glorious age of steam, and only the richest and most powerful guests can afford a ticket on this exclusive train.

These glamorous and privileged passengers have all boarded the luxurious ‘Disorient Express’ Train en-route from Istanbul to Paris. They have taken their seats, and are all settled into their first trip of the New Year. What could possibly go wrong?Fancy Entertainment is the company behind the event and it will be your job, as a guest, to channel your inner Poirot and look out for clues.

Before the evening begins you will have already been sent information and details of the characters involved – so you could just sit back and enjoy letting the story unfold or put all your sleuth skills to the test.

A full night of entertainment

This promises to be a night to remember and while you sit back and ponder the goings-on, trying to work out whodunit, you’ll be enjoying a fabulous three-course dinner.

Fancy dress is optional, but very much encouraged! And why not, after all, you could be dancing the night away in those beautiful ’20s dresses and smart suits at the disco which follows dinner on this special evening.

Tickets for Murder on the Disorient Express are just £35 per person, which includes the three-course dinner and disco. Bed and breakfast is available from £70.

About the hotel

Heath Cottage, at Wakefield Road, Dewsbury is a fine example of early Victorian architecture. The main house and coaching house have been sympathetically converted and extended whilst enhancing the original character and features.
