Woodlands, who were without their injured overseas player Sarfraz Ahmed, struggled when they batted first.

Only Jordan Laban with 56 looked at ease as Matthew Walker (4-17) and Noman Ali (3-42) shared the bowling honours to dismiss the visitors for 140, with the last six wickets falling for 17 runs.

Woodlands fought back after tea as spinner Kez Ahmed claimed 5-35 as Bingley were reduced to 58-6.

The key man in the successful run chase was opener Charlie Best.

He stood firm with wickets falling round him and made a determined 71 before becoming the ninth man out with the scores level.

Elliot Richardson and Chris Brice had supported Ahmed’s efforts, taking two wickets apiece, but Will Grace scrambled the winning run from the next ball after Best’s dismissal, when he was joined by last man Kyme Tahirkeli.

Woodlands’ fourth defeat of the season leaves them 42 points behind leaders Pudsey St Lawrence.
