James Eatherley’s conversion attempt hit a post and bounced clear before they had a wake-up call as Ackworth drew level with a try.

Good work by Andy Burland, Andy Robinson and Wayne Wilson saw Phil Simpson send Danny Wardman over for a try. Eatherley converted and he was on target again after Adrian Boardman’s break set up the position for Senior to dummy over and touch down.

Good defence by Ryan Johnson maintained the hosts’ lead while after the break good play featuring Matt Shaw and Ryan Hardcastle saw McNamara hauled down just short. Peter Robinson and Simpson combined to send Shotton over for a try and Eatherley’s 60th goal of the season made it 22-4.

Ackworth hit back with a converted try before Moor responded with drives by Burland, Shaw and Dominic Scanlon. Peter Robinson’s 60-metre charge set up Wilson who forced his way over.
