Savile United and Savile Youth fought out a 2-2 derby draw in their final games of the season.

Abdul Jabbar Ibrahim and Abu Mulla struck for United but Lookman Polli and Abdullah Aswat replied to earn Youth a share of the spoils.

The draw was enough to ensure United finished third bottom, above Whitburn Athletic on goal difference and just a point clear of bottom side Smoking Aces.

Palestino, Hightown Jets and Athletico are battling it out for the Division One title.

Hightown are seven points clear at the top after Lee Williams, Kyle Kershaw and Adam Smith bagged a brace apiece in a 9-4 win over Howden Clough.

James Mortimer, Jordan Midwood and Ryan Foster also netted for Hightown, with Brad Mason (two) and Lee Crossland among the Clough scorers.

Hightown met Idle on Tuesday in the Spen Valley Memorial Trophy semi-final, with the winners to play Palestino in the final on Saturday April 25 (kick off 2pm) at Overthorpe Sports Club.

Palestino, who are in the hunt for three trophies, booked their place in a first cup final with a 3-0 win over George Healey.

Palestino are third in Division One, eight points behind Hightown but with five games in hand and eight league matches still to play.

Route 1 Rovers meet Savile Youth in the Spen Valley Challenge Trophy semi-final next Tuesday (April 21, ko 6.15pm) with the winners facing Palestino or Norfolk in the final at Overthorpe on Saturday May 2, kick off 2pm.

Athletico’s Division One promotion hopes suffered a set back with a 2-1 defeat at Fox and Hounds, who had Andrew Appleyard and Paul Beaumont on target.

Kamran Siddique was on target for Athletico but defeat leaves them back in sixth place, six points adrift of Palestino.

Mohammed Patel (two) and Aamir Aswat were on target as Mount Pleasant defeated Norfolk 3-1, while Matty Softley’s goals was enough to see Cleckheaton Sporting beat Inter Batley 1-0 and leave their opponents rock bottom.

Admission to both Spen Valley Cup finals at Overthorpe Sports is £3 adults, £1 concessions.

The Spen Valley League are accepting applications from new clubs for next season.
