Thornhill scored 19 tries, including hat-tricks for James France, Darren Robinson and Simon Walker.

Man-of-the-match was Robinson but Thornhill outclassed Bowling in every department.

Coach James Ratcliffe insists the Trojans are far from the finished article but there is no doubt he has already moulded a very formidable team.

After 10 minutes the Trojans led 24-0. First Anthony Harris proved unstoppable as he powered over. Craig Holmes then stepped away to set Ryan Glynn up and Robinson created an opening to put Ben Kendall over before Robinson crafted another opening as his kick along the ground was pounced upon by Scott Green. Robinson converted all four.

Thornhill came at the visitors with set plays. The forwards ran onto passes at pace and Bowling’s arms length tackling meant they were in for a long day.

Thornhill’s fifth try went to winger France, and was unconverted, but when Green scampered over, Robinson added the goal.

Robinson beat several men to score his first try before Glynn created an overlap to put France over again.

Substitute, Scott Woodcock powered over for Thornhill’s ninth try and Robinson scored his second and also converted to make it 54-0 at half-time.

After 57 minutes Robinson completed his hat-tick, Holmes converted. Walker broke from halfway to score his second try. Holmes again converted and then sent out a pass which put Kendall over. Holmes converted.

By now the game was becoming a farce and a dummy from Robinson on halfway created a break from which Holmes scored and converted.

Walker scored an unconverted try to complete his hat-trick and see Thornhill top the 100 mark.

With 10 minutes remaining and West Bowling offering no resistance whatsoever the referee blew for full time.
