Trojans’ huge cup test – Moor tackle leaders

The Trojans, unbeaten near the top of Pennine League Division Two, travel to Fryston aiming to claim a place in the BARLA National Cup quarter-finals (kick-off 2pm).

Although Thornhill have won all seven league games this time and were narrowly edged out by Hunslet Old Boys in the Yorkshire Cup final, they face a huge test against the runaway Yorkshire League Division One leaders.

Fryston have won 13 of their 14 league games and are 12 points clear of second placed Upton but Thornhill have earmarked a sustained run in the National Cup and are sure to be fired up.

Dewsbury Moor are gearing up for a top-of-the-table clash at Pennine Championship leaders Halifax Irish, who are on a nine-match winning run (2.30pm).

Second-placed Moor are just four points behind their hosts but also have a game in hand and the showdown is sure to go a long way in deciding the champions.

Hanging Heaton bid to stretch their lead in Division Six at Guiseley Rangers. There is a top-two clash in Division Seven as leaders Thornhill A, who have won 10 out of 10 in the league, entertain Selby Warriors A. Mid-table Dewsbury Moor A host Farnley Falcons A.
