Trojans face Dewsbury Celtic in Conference opener

Thornhill’s open age side will begin the new National Conference campaign with a tasty Division Two derby at home to Dewsbury Celtic.

Thornhill won promotion from Division Three in their first season in the Conference and kick off at the higher level on Saturday March 12.

Shaw Cross Sharks begin their Division One campaign the week before, on Saturday March 5, when they travel to Featherstone Lions.

The Sharks reached the Division One play-offs last season when they were edged out in the semi-finals and they will be looking to mount a promotion challenge next year.

The Sharks first home game is against East Leeds on March 12.

Dewsbury Moor Maroons begin their Division Three season on Saturday March 19 with a trip to Castleford Panthers, while their first home game is against Gateshead Storm a fortnight later on Satutrday April 2.
