Towngate and Sports win Heavy Woollen cup finals
premier competition, the Heavy Woollen Challenge Cup, after defeating Birkenshaw 2-0 in the final at Ossett Albion last Thursday.
Daniel Facey and Tyrone Gray got the all important goals to ensure Towngate end the campaign with some silverware after finishing third in the Premier Division.

Hide AdThe Heavy Woollen Challenge Trophy final, also held at Ossett Albion, provided a seven-goal thriller 48 hours earlier as Heckmondwike Sports, promoted from Division Two, edged out Barr Street 4-3.
Blake Maude bagged a brace for the Sports, who also had Joe Armour and Benjamin McArdsle on target.
Barr Street made a real game of it and replied through a Lewis Tolson double and one from Jordan Ellis.
n This Sunday sees the final of the Heavy Woollen District FA Brook Butler Cup final. Thornhill Lees will look to put the disappointment of losing the league title in dramatic fashion on Tuesday behind them when they take on Battyeford SC at Beck Lane, Littletown, kick off 11am.

Hide Adn Bradford were crowned Spen Valley League Premier Division champions after finishing six points clear of BD3 United, who suffered an 8-1 defeat at Marsh in their final game. Mark Wigley bagged four goals, while Rich Harvey and Andy Shingleton hit a brace apiece for Marsh.
The Division One title was set to be decided on Wednesday when Fairbank United needed a point from their game at Howden Clough to pip Soothill to the crown.
Soothill beat Inter Batley 5-0 in their last match thanks to Johnny Beverley (hat-trick), Ash Barnes and Tom Yarnold.
