Sykes supporters enjoy title win
Gary Sykes supporters may have been outnumbered in Cleethorpes but they returned to Dewsbury in celebratory mood on Friday evening.
Kevin Hooper had sold over 300 tickets and although only around 60 Sykes followers made the long trip, they had a thoroughly enjoyable evening at the atmospheric Beachcomber Resort in Cleethorpes.
Two large Dewsbury flags were draped from a balcony throughout the fight and the coach load, who travelled from the Fox & Hounds pub in Hanging Heaton, were in full voice throughout the fight as they cheered Sykes to victory.
After Gary’s terrific points win, several fans posed for pictures with their hero and his new belt.
