Sykes British title fight confirmed for May 24
It will be the first time championship boxing has been hosted in the town and the first professional show in Dewsbury since 2001.
Victory for Sykes would see him win the coveted Lonsdale belt outright and it is sure to be an historic night.

Hide AdSykes’s Central Boxing Club stablemate, unbeaten professional Tony Aitcheson, is also set to feature on the bill.
Ian Wardle, Dewsbury Sports Centre operations manager, said: “Dewsbury Sports Centre are very proud to be hosting this prestigious event. It’s going to be a historic night for Dewsbury and hopefully a great night for Gary too.
“We haven’t had the ticket selling arrangements confirmed by the promoter yet but as soon as we do we’ll publish details at www.kirkleesactive.co.uk/dewsbury and via Facebook and Twitter.
“We’ll also be keeping everyone updated via the Dewsbury Reporter.”
