Steve Crossley praises Rams fans

IN-FORM Rams prop Steve Crossley has praised Dewsbury’s loyal band of followers.

As we build towards Thursday’s televised Co-operative Championship clash between the Rams and leaders Halifax at Tetley’s Stadium (kick off 7.30pm), Crossley and his teammates would love the Dewsbury faithful to turn up in big numbers to cheer them on to what would be a memorable victory.

Crossley admits the Rams supporters played a big part in him returning to the club following his successful spell on loan from Bradford Bulls.

He said: “When I came here on loan last season I was blown away by the support. They may not have the numbers of Featherstone and Halifax but they are a loud loyal bunch, who make themselves heard.

“You can always spot a group of Dewsbury followers at away grounds and they do play a big part when we are out on the field.

“Against Keighley, they certainly were our 18th man and the supporters were a big factor in me coming back to Dewsbury this season.”

Dewsbury have no new injury worries ahead of the game.
