Slideshow: Youngsters compete in St John Fisher cross country championships
Primary schools from across Batley and Dewsbury were represented at the St John Fisher Schools Partnership Cross Country Championships last week.
Almost 280 children from Birstall, Bywell, Field Lane, Headfield, Holy Spirit, Ravensthorpe, St Joseph’s, St Mary’s, St Patrick’s, St Paulinus, Thornhill and Windmill took part in the event, staged at Batley Sports and Tennis Centre.
Youngsters were competing for places in the Kirklees finals and ultimately, places in the West Yorkshire finals in February.
